We all see the celebrities and influencers promoting brand name body exfoliators but not everyone wants to shell out that kind of money for a body scrub. Naturally, I took to the internet in search of the best DIY body scrub. My goodness, I found it! I’ve been using this recipe for about a year or two now and love it. I really like integrating it into my pamper routine. (If you guys would like to see my updated pamper routine, leave me a comment below!) Plus, it’s always great to make your own products when you can so you can be sure you know exactly what’s in it. All these natural ingredients make a fantastic scrub.
The best part of this DIY body scrub is that it’s super simple and can be made with things you most likely already have in your kitchen. Doesn’t get much better than that!
For this DIY you will need the following:
- 2 cups of coffee grounds
- ¾ cups of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
Mix all the ingredients together and feel free to add or subtract some olive oil until you get a really good consistency. I always strive for a slightly drier than soupy consistency. Once you have your body scrub, be sure to take it into the shower with you. It’s about to get a little messy. This body scrub can be used all over your body (if you have sensitive skin I would avoid your face). I like taking my time with this and really rub it in to remove any self-tanner. Simply rinse it off after exfoliating and voila!
