Healthy “Milk”shake Recipe

The heat of summer has set in and it definitely has me craving some sugary goodness! Instead of wasting the calories on your typical milkshake, I recommend trying out this healthier version the next time you have a sweet tooth. It tastes essentially the same as a milkshake and even has the same consistency. So yummy! I also recommend adding something like flaxseed or chia seeds to make this shake a little more filling and prevent you from drinking too much of it. Enjoy!

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of Almond Milk
  • 1 Whole Banana
  • Dash of Vanilla
  • Dash of Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp Flaxseed

Skinny Dirty Banana Cocktail

Hello you, and welcome to inside the mind of an Obsessive Compulsive Designer.

Getting hooked on Dirty Bananas in the Caribbean was a terrible mistake because they’re so delicious and addicting! As soon as we got back into the states, my husband and I started recreating them. Of course they were still just as amazing but it’s not as fun without the beach view! Today I wanted to thin down the recipe a bit and make a “skinny” version of the Dirty Banana. (It’s still alcohol so how skinny can it really get, am I right?) I think this version really does it justice and definitely makes this cocktail skinnier than its original version. I’ll leave a link here so you can check out the original. It’s a great treat every once and awhile; but, it’s so heavy that it makes it difficult to enjoy often. Try out this Skinny Dirty Banana recipe to enjoy this Caribbean treat!

Ingredients :

1 oz. Malibu

1 oz. Kahlua

1 oz. 99 Bananas

Dash of Almond Milk

Drinks Your Guests Will Remember This Memorial Day

While you’re planning what exactly to serve at your Memorial Day parties, be sure to give this amazing adult beverage a try. Here’s my twist on an Orange Pomegranate Crush!

Ingredients : 

1 oz Triple Sec

2 oz Smirnoff Pomegranate Vodka

1/2 orange juiced

1 splash of Sprite or other lemon-lime soda

Serve over ice
